Now is the Time to Plan for Holiday Photos & Cards

One of my very favorite things to do each holiday season is to choose and create cards to send to friends and loved ones. I start the process early because it usually takes me an excruciatingly long time to get the cards just perfect. (I’m kind of a perfectionist.) I like to include a photo of each family member that tells a story or shows off a part of their personality. That’s the hard part.

I’ll admit that choosing a design can be a challenge as well but that’s only because there are so many wonderful options! Tiny Printsmakes the rest easy with all of the filters on the left hand side to narrow down the selection. I always look for the holiday photo cards that have at least 3 openings for photos because between our four kids and seven pets, we need the space.

While I’m still deciding on which design to choose, where we display the cards we receive has become a family tradition.

Our french doors proudly display the delivered greetings well into February because I just love looking at all of the happy faces!

Where do you show off your holiday cards?

I’ll Tell You A Secret

I am unable to throw away holiday cards.

Seriously, I have a box with well over 5 years of cards along with an album containing every holiday letter or picture anyone has ever sent to our family. Some of these people we don’t even know anymore.

Weird?

Usually, I leave holiday cards up for display in our home until sometime in February. And then I add them to the box under the bed in my guest room. It just *feels* better than tossing them into the trash. I mean, people work so hard on those!

So, it’s that time of year again for me and the french doors…

When do you put away your holiday cards? And what do you do with them?
