Delaplane Equestrian – Northern Virginia Family Photographer

My first shoot of the year was on a spring like day in January on a farm too lovely for words.

Beautiful horses…

Picture perfect family and uber delicious light…

As I was leaving, I stopped my car to capture this amazing view…

…the cherry on top of an unforgettable and personally inspiring shoot.

Happy New Year!

Now is the Time to Plan for Holiday Photos & Cards

One of my very favorite things to do each holiday season is to choose and create cards to send to friends and loved ones. I start the process early because it usually takes me an excruciatingly long time to get the cards just perfect. (I’m kind of a perfectionist.) I like to include a photo of each family member that tells a story or shows off a part of their personality. That’s the hard part.

I’ll admit that choosing a design can be a challenge as well but that’s only because there are so many wonderful options! Tiny Prints makes the rest easy with all of the filters on the left hand side to narrow down the selection. I always look for the holiday photo cards that have at least 3 openings for photos because between our four kids and seven pets, we need the space.

Below are the three I have it down to for this year:

I love the personalization ( a big “P” for Petro) that this card allows.

But even more, I’m digging the rounded corners and non-traditional color schemes this year.

And this one can even go on the tree!

While I’m still deciding on which design to choose, where we display the cards we receive has become a family tradition.

Our french doors proudly display the delivered greetings well into February because I just love looking at all of the happy faces!

Where do you show off your holiday cards?
